Hong Kong Trip 2010

This was my second trip to Hong Kong. Also my second visit .
(Diary was narrated by Marina, typed by her mum)

Victoria Peak
Victoria Peak which was on top of a big mountain. We took the tram to get to the top. when we were on the tram, it was really fun because we were going up a mountain that is very high.

The Peak tower has got 10 storeys. When we went to the top, we were very high up. We could see the whole Hong Kong city. We saw on the cliff there was an abandoned house.

For lunch, we had Burger king , the symbol was exactly the same as Hungry Jacks. It was just a different name.

When we went back down, it was much more fun than going up because the tram when it went up it was the right way around but the tram could not turn around, so we went backward when we came back down. My mum took lots of photos on the tram.

Because we were heading back home, we need to take a bus then a ferry (called Star Ferry) and a train.

When we were walking to the train station, because it is nearly moon cake festival or mid-autum festival, there was a display of different lanterns that were really big; some lanterns moved e.g. like a boy holding a guitar and next to him a cup of tea spins around.

Then we got to the train station, it was raining but we found a little shelter to stay for a few minutes until the rain settled. We took a train and after that we took a taxi home.

Disneyland

On sunday (19th September 2010), me and my mum and my mum's friends (uncle Fu and auntie Mo) went to Disneyland. Becky's was one of my friends from Hong Kong, she is 14 years old.

The first game that we went on was driving a car, you start at a little shelter and once you are buckled in, you go onto the track but the cool thing is you can be very young to drive it but it was burning my bottom because it has been in the sun.

The second thing we did was Buzz Light, you have to shoot the letter Z; you are in a little car, you can turn it around but it still goes forward by itself, the hardest part was in the middle because you go into a round tunnel where white light flashes backward, there are 'Z's in different spots and 'Z' flahes backward too. If you shoot a 'Z' that overlappes with another 'Z' and shoot it in time it will give you lots and lots of points because it was really hard. The first time I won, I got only 7 points, my mum got 3 points. Becky got 4 or 5 points and I can't remember her mum and dad's points. We went on twice because it was so fun.

The next game we went on was Winne the Pooh, you sit in a hunny pot, four people can go in one hunny pot, it is a ride and it tells a story about Winnie the Pooh and his friends. It was very relaxed sitting in the pot because when there was rain in the story, there is lots of wind going into your face.

We then went on a roller coaster called Space Mountain. The second name was Space Galaxy. There were ghosts in it and lot and lots of stars. The first part of the roller coaster was not scary at all, the last part would be scary for some kids but that was the fun part for me. My scary part was when the ghosts made out of fire reached out their hands to get the roller coaster but we went too fast so he could not catch us. The other most fun part for me was because it went so fast and when there was hanging planets really closed to us, it feels like you banging into them but you just do an unexpected turn because you think that there is a hole in the middle so you don't go through.

Then we took a disneyland bus to Hollywood Hotel and had a buffet. There was nearly any food that you can think of. The dessert was delicious. Because the food was so yummy, we ate too much. After lunch, we went back to Disneyland.

The weather was stinking hot. Becky and me were sweating buckets. (Temperature ranged from 30-33 and the humdity ranged from 80-90%)

We went on a ride called 'It's a Small World', you are in boat and we you go through, there are different countries and they sing the song 'its a small world' in that language. My favourite was Island, because it was under water and there were mermaid.

Then we watched a 'Golden Micky Show' that was really fun because at the start you have been given 3 D glasses if you look at any light, it will turn into a ghost.

Becky is 14 and she refused to go to Demon Jungle and Haunted Hotel, she was even more scare than me so she watched the Golden Micky twice.

Then we went to a walk in Demon Jungle, it was really scary cos it was loud. Scary ghosts come out and it was liked a maze because when we got to the middle, we got a bit confused because we did not know which way we were supposed to go. Some of the ghosts come out and guided you which way to go.

Then we went to a walk in Haunted Hotel, because Demon Jungle was so scary, I did not want to go in because one of the signs says 'Enter at your own risk'. So Becky's mum and dad went in first, they said it was just the same as Demon Jungle so I went in. Haunted Hotel was not as scary as Demon Jungle because the people did not come out, they only really knocked very hard on the door and scared you and then go back in. My mum did not like the look of them, cos they were very ugly, so she just screamed at them and they would go back in. Ghosts were more scare of mum than she was scared of them.

Then we went on an dumbo elephant ride. You sit on top of Dumbo's back, two people can sit on one little car and you could control it to go up and down.

We then met Becky again and went on a river cruise together that we went around a tree house. there were hippos, gureillas, corcodiles, volcanoes and fire and wild cats.

Next we went on a four D movie, it was normally 3 D but it has wind and water that comes out so when the character got wet, water would come out and when it was windy, wind would come out. At the very end, when Donald duck flew out, the curtain behind open and there was a duck stucked there with his bottom and his feet stuck out and he wiggled his feet and he said 'Oh great' and it felt down and a big noise came.

After the four D movie, there was a parade, it was a Hallowee parade. It was really loud and there was only three things came out.

In the middle of Disneyland there was a giant castle, there is a witch that talks and that is actually light that shine onto the castle and then they sing a Hallowee song and there were ghosts and pumpkin there. While they were doing that, behind the castle there was firework coming out. It was already nine o'clock.

Then I was given two more things to play then I chose the 4 D movie and the space mountain.

Then we drive home and because we did not have any dinner, I had a piece of mud cake and some cereals and my mum had some left over spaghetti and then we had a shower and washed our hair and when we went to bed, it was half past twelve.

Ocean Park
I went with one of my friends and his mum and dad. The first thing that we did was go on cable car.

Next ocean peak tower and next flying swing. A flying swing is a big pole with a giant umbrella on top with string that hangs out and seats at the end. When the unbrella spins around, the chairs will fly up it was fun so we wen ton it twice.

Next we went on crazy galleon (called also pirate ship) because it went very high and my favourite part of it was when it came down.

The next thing we went on was atoll reef, I saw big fish and small fish and stingrays and turtles.

For lunch we had dim sum.

My friend did not want to go on the next game which was raging river because he was scared.

I went on it with his dad first, he sat at the front because he was so tall he was liked a wall for me. The second time that I went on it was with my mum, she wasn't that tall but she got more wet than me.
Next we went to Ocean Theatre, it was a dolphin show, the dolphins jumped on the land, and back flip and front flip very high in the air.

Then we went back on ocean express.
Then we went to panda village and saw pandas. They liked cold conditions and they were very sleepy all the times.

Then we went on frog hopper, it is one of the things that has a row of seats and you sit in one, and goes up and down very fast, my mum went on it and she was scared, I wasn't.

After Ocean Park, we went to the club house it belongs to where Rex lives. We played with Sabrina, she is Rex's friend. It is liked Jungle gym but its not made out of blocks. Then we played table soccer.

Then we went back to Rex's house, Sabrina, Rex and me, play plastic guns but we were fighting to have most bullets in the first place, then Sabrina and me teamed up because Rex was very good at aiming but I got the best gun and it has three bullets at once and it has an aiming light to aim what you are trying to shoot. Ir has a very big circle and four lines that meet up in the middle and has a dot in the middle of the circle where the lines meet up. We were only allowed to shoot at peoples' feet.

Then we had dinner, pizz, macroni, spaghetti bolognise and salad and drinks, I had lemon coke. Then we played guns again. Then everyone went home.
Good night zzzzz. I went to bed at 2 o'clock in the morning. I did that five times going to bed at 2am in the trip.

Other activities
This is the cat that lives at Hong Kong in our apartment that we live in.
It was my mum's brother and my mum's sister-in-law 's house. The cat is really scared of people and sometimes it is naughty and sometimes it is very good. When we were there, the cat one night started to meow and we were in bed and then my uncle and auntie just came back from work and asked why we did not feed the cat and I was thinking what the cat was thinking right now, I thought the cat was thinking : why didn't you guys feed me, I am starving, give me food !

The cat doesn't like loud noises so every time the door bell ring, the cat will run into my uncle and auntie's bedroom and hide under the bed. Because a lot of the times we came back late, my uncle would be in their bedroom watching TV with my grandma and every time when the cat hears the door bell, it would run into the bedroom so that is how my uncle knows the door bell has rung because their door bell is very soft but the cat has good hearing so it can hear the door bell easily.

Because at Hong Kong we lived in an apartment on a big mountain, you can walk down to the bottom of it and because the train stashon is very close we can walk to it. so we can take a train some times.

Mid autumn festival
Because at hong kong there was mide autem festerboll we went to the park after dinner. (Marina took over to do a bit of typing herself, that shows she requires quite a lot of assistance at this stage with spelling)

Learning to play table tennis with auntie Rita and Ip.

Have a good play with another four younger kids, they are Justin and Tristan; KarMan & Kar?

A trip to Cheung Chau with auntie Money

Dinner at another grand auntie's home and I ate something that did not agree with me and ended up to go to hospital for check up.

The last night before we left HK, we went to a very busy restaurat and saw them making hand make noodles.
The last day Jiew Jiew took us to the mountain where their family grew up from. The site they used to own had a nice two storey house. It brought back lots of their memories

My Kung Kung also built a house after they sold the two storey house and land, however the house was under a cliff and was claimed to be dangerous for living so the government demolished the whole house and leaving only the rumble we saw from the  photo.
