Wedge Island Diary 2010

We went camping with my uncle and auntie, mum, me and dad. (29-30th May 2010)

(pic taken at the park in Lancelin – stopover for lunch before heading to Wedge)

we stayed in a shack near a beach.

There were two bunk beds and a bed for two; but my uncle and auntie camped outside. i didn't because it was freezing near the beach.

there is no electricity there so we went to use the fire to warm everything up. And the toilet doesn't work, so we have to go outside but once it flushed. I met my mum and auntie's friend, they have a black dog, he is old, his name is dusty. I enjoyed sleeping on the bunk bed.

the journey to the shack was really really really really bumpy. the road was made out of sand and rocks not like the road that we drive on. my dad who was driving he said that it isn't good to use a new car on the bumpy road and there were pot holes in the groud filled up with water.

This is me walking along the beach. We are walking to the sand dunes. The beach over there is used for cars to drive on. The traffic was busy and it was hard to cross from one side to the other. All the cars had to wear a flag when they drive on the beach.

I wanna to slide down the sand dunes but it was too wet but I still had lots of fun because the board was slippery so when I put that on an angle I would fly by myself all the way down. And it was funny when we tried to get up a step and we would fall all the way back down. When we walked we stayed in the same spot. Irene had to help me to get back up.

when we got to where the shack were, we had trouble finding our shack because it did not have numbers on them. It was hard to recognise it.  we tried to find help so we talked to other people. one person that we told knew where the place was because they lived close to it. so they pointed where it was.

when i got there i looked at the back garden there was a ladder and a like an old trampoline that was not bouncy so we used to relax on. It had a rope hanging from the tree on the of the old trampoline, we tied knots on it and at the bottom of it we tied a loop to put my foot on, so i hold onto one of the knots and put my foot in the loop and i swinged from one end of the trampoline to the other. there is a track from the backyard that turns the angle and into a grass area. there was a old car that was left there. it had glass window broken it was a blue one and was all rusty. we had a picnic there because it was shady.

And when i got back on that night  (sunday) i had an ear infection and i still have it now.(monday).
